secret skill: the limbo
In 2014, whilst in my final year at University, studying Fashion Promotion & Imaging, I set up my own personalised stationery brand. I naively stumbled into self employment, working as a freelance social media manager to help pay the bills.
Running my own successful e-commerce business was incredible, I learnt a huge amount and it allowed me to do some amazing things. From being a Great British Entrepreneur Finalist, one of "Startups 15 Young Entrepreneurs to Watch in 2018" & "Insider South West 42 under 42" to teaming up with Ebay and The Guardian as an e-commerce business mentor, it was a whirlwind time.
Five and half years after launching, having sold to 29 countries and in bulk to the likes of American Airlines, ITV & Boots and built an Instagram community of over 10,000 I made the decision to sell my business.
I've since been working as an Enterprise Skills Advisor at a UK University, helping students get to grips with self employed life. Through mentoring and workshops, I work with students who want to be freelancers, start-up founders or entrepreneurs.
Now I'm supporting creative entrepreneurs and founders like you to take positive steps forward in your business through one-to-one consulting.
Self-employed life can be lonely. Especially when you’re looking to get an idea off the ground, don’t know what to do next or want to make a big change.
Do you need someone to bounce ideas off of, help strategise next steps or support you as you make your idea a reality?
I'd love to help.
